Deferment of Enforcement on Restrictions for Haulier Vehicles Carrying Containers Exceeding the Combination Vehicle Weight (BGK) to and from Port Klang

With reference to FMM Circular GPR/23/2025 which was issued based on Port Klang Authority (PKA) Circular No. 3/2025 dated April 25, 2025, members are hereby informed that the enforcement of restrictions on haulier vehicles transporting single containers exceeding the prescribed Gross Combination Weight (BGK) to and from Port Klang, originally scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2026, has been deferred to a date to be announced in due course.

The deferment is intended to facilitate haulier companies in completing the requisite processes for the variation of vehicle permit conditions with the relevant enforcement authorities, namely the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) and the Road Transport Department (JPJ).

Notwithstanding the above, members are advised that the restriction on haulier vehicles transporting “back-to-back” containers exceeding the prescribed limits remains in force and continues to be strictly enforced.

Members are kindly requested to take note of the above and to ensure continued compliance with the applicable regulations.
